Story telling and preaching the word of God when He gives me word.
Why this name?
You know... originaly when I was in the world a few years back... I had came up with this name at the time when I was having a hard time fitting in... I simply came up with the name to spread the message 'know one before you judge one'.. but I gave my life to Christ in Feb. of 2003 and since then I decided to change my name's meaning... 'Know the One above'.
Do you play live?
Not at the moment. Once I gather my favorite tracks together I plan on it so be on the look out.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has aloud unsigned musicians to be exposed to the world without having to go through the companies. It also has served as a super promoting machine among many companies which I believe has led to more sales for a paticular artist. LONG LIVE NAPSTER!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would depend on the deal... I won't let myself fall into a bad deal. But if it sounds like a good deal.. I would love to.
Band History:
KnowOne had began rapping at young age of 13 with a rap group who would go threw a series of names which caused many confusion among potential fans because the group was hard to keep track of. He ran with crews by the name of "kinetic flowz", "Infinity Quest", "XtC" and tagged along with "PHAT Stylez" occasionally but later decided to go on his own, craving the taste of sucess more than his band members did at the time.
Your influences?
Huge mixture of influences. Everything from punk to hip hop.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot to be is in Church.. I'm always feeling great in Church. Favorite city to be in would have to be Long Beach because it's my home town. I'm attached to my city.
