This is my one man studio rat project where i Andrew do all the work on the tracks marked Subconscious Social Experiment. On these tracks I wrote all of the music and played all guitars drums, bass, and sang or spoke all vocals. I also played Lead and Rhythm Guitars wrote some of and produced the tracks marked Candelabra and Instinct.
Why this name?
Its too deep a meaning so I will leave it up to individual interpretation.
Do you play live?
I frequently play live solo and have had many a gig in quite a few bands in the past in many clubs and at parties or just for friends or in the guitar rooms in Yahoo.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I give away my music because i believe Art is too important to put a price on and i think the net has made it easier for the average person to be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Certainly anytime but they would have to allow me to have alot of creative control and have a major hand in production and engineering.
Band History:
Instinct goes back to 1988-89 and was pretty much the first successful band I ever had and on the page u can hear my first real gig. All these tracks were recorded live as a band all together as in no overdubs or multitracked parts. Candelabra goes back to 1997. We never really did much gigging but we wrote some great songs and had some great musicians. All these tracks were recorded live as a band all together as in no overdubs or multitracked parts as well. Subconscious Social Experiment was something started in 1998 once i started learning the basics of multitrack producing and engineering.
Your influences?
Too many to mention u name it i listen to it as long as it has attitude and feeling and is honest and catchy i like it.
Favorite spot?
The stage, the studio, and home, not necessarily in that order.
Equipment used:
i have a huge inventory of guitars (Jackson, Fender, BC Rich ESP, Gibson, basses (Rickenbacker, Spector), amps (Fender, Marshall, Mesa/Boogie) a nice Ludwig Drumkit, mics (Nady, Audio-Technica tube mic, Shure SM-58)
