Why this name?
My parents named my band for me.
Do you play live?
I only play live in my own home - where my 8-track is... unless Pastor Doug gets me to sing with the gospel quartet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It puts you in touch with people you'd never meet otherwise and gets your music heard where it would never have been heard otherwise.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably.
Band History:
The band that sings our racing songs is called "The Backstretch Boys". They came about in 2002. You can contact them at www.nascarmusic.com.
Your influences?
My tastes in music run from Johnny Cash, to Merle Haggard, to The Doobie Brothers, to Michael W. Smith, to Earl Scruggs to The Imperials and most things in between. I tend to favor upbeat stuff.
Favorite spot?
The beach in Miami was awfully nice, but I can be happy most anywhere that isn't below 30 degrees. Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach was about the most beautiful place I've ever been.
