NEWS
november 22nd: hey everyone, some great news, we just got picked up by "lonely tree records" to put out a full length for the summer, we also have three tours in the works. our shirts have arrived and new designs can be expected within the next few weeks, thanks to all who came to our shows last night, we love you all and we had a great time in both burlington and georgetown. we are taking most fo decemeber off to write and do pre production for the new album, look for a teaser track for tha album sometime in february.

one of our best friends, darcy came up with the name.
Do you play live?
We play live a lot, we love to play live, it's what we live for. The only point in playing music is to play live, let the crowd feed off your energy, and vice versa.
Band History:
the goodbye celebration started in 2002 under the name "a better way to go". Since then, they have gone through many line up changes, settling on a permanent line up in october of 2003 with the addition of vocalist peter van helvoort(ex-fall semester). The rest of the band consists of bassist, vocalist - justin degraaf, guitarist,vocalist - magic lanzcy, filling out the rythm section is drummer - kyle anderson, and on second guitar - rob o'donovan. The band has become more then just a band, it's a family. With a permanent line up, "the goodbye celebration" is ready to take over the world.
