Vergin Tutto Amor

I finally decided to record a selection from the classical training from my vocal lessons. My first Italian recording as well. Since it is almost mother's day, I figured this was an appropriate song to post.

Old and Wise

(Alan Parsons Project cover) My musical tribute to Montreal comedian Sean Keane, who left us far too soon in December, 2012. Karaoke BT with my lead vocals. I also mixed and produced this track.

It's Too Late (Repost)

(Carole King Cover) Another attempt at a song I sang in my early days of SoundClick and after a year plus of vocal coaching/lessons as well as some serious mentoring with the recording/mixing software!

Linger

(Cranberries Cover) My entry for the March 2012 CBC Challenge. And almost my first fully solo production...but of course final tweaks to the mix done by Wayne Dwyer. Karaoke BT with my vocals AND harmonies. :)
This is something I'm doing just for fun -- to live out a lifelong dream since the age of around 7 or so when I realized that I could carry a tune (without the use of a bucket!) and it didn't sound bad. Much love and thanks go to those in my SoundClick family (and now beyond!) who helped to encourage/challenge me to spread my wings to try this out and continue to take it to the next level. Without your kind support I'd still be just a listener (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I haven't "played live" since the days when I played guitar and sang in church or at karaoke. But they say to never say never...
Your musical influences
Carole King, Karen Carpenter, Cass Elliot, k.d. lang, Janis Siegel (of the Manhattan Transfer) to name just a few
What equipment do you use?
My voice, microphone, and Sonar PE software (for the mixes)I am now back into playing some guitar as a self-accompaniment so that's now been added...I'm also exploring methods to record guitar if I ever feel it's worthy of being forever captured as such.
Anything else?
Feel free to comment, but please keep in mind this is still a relatively new venture for me and I'm still very much in the learning process (although I can't imagine a time where someone would ever learning. I welcome all criticism! Thanks for checking out my page. Peace!
