After the first two-man band project, "Soulcrusher", never materialized, "Severe Metastasis" was born in the blood of the only member, Jose Godofredo Tuliao (Vocals, Guitars, Drum Programming, Mixing, and Mastering). The project sprouted in October 2007, starting from scratch... having no direct ideas on how to play all the songs correctly. The first song recorded was entitled "Brain Self-Induced Sufferings." It was a real mess because of the old and obsolete instruments that were used in the recording. The only new instrument is a lefty Chinese-made "Sakura" guitar that up to this point has been the main weapon in producing all the future releases of "Severe Metastasis". Severe Metastasis's first demo, entitled "Biomechanical Flesh Eating Virus", is a combination of six sick songs compiled from the demo releases of Severe Metastasis. The demo was not successful. It’s a real struggle for a one-man band to create a name in the underground. Several critiques comment negatively on the said release. Severe Metastasis has again made some moves and re-recorded the past releases from the demo album to a more professional recording style after the band’s bad-sounding production of the past. After almost half a year of experimentation and home-recording sessions, "Severe Metastasis" is finally ready to promote all the new materials with cleaner and more aggressive sound production. "Severe Metastasis" produced the first demo with professional sound recording and layout in the middle of September 2008. The demo, entitled "Sick Hymns from a Perverted Mind," has caught the attention of local metal bands and listeners. It was then included in some local splits that featured both black metal and death metal acts around the city of Baguio. The release was noted by "Bogrit," a notable goregrind/death metal band from the Philippines, which was released earlier this year by one of the great underground labels in the United States, "Going Postal Records." Both Severe Metastasis and Bogrit released a two-way split that is already available in the United States by "Going Postal Records" and being officially distributed by the underground's biggest death metal label/recording company, "Sevared Records". The full length of Severe Metastasis will be released in 2009 by "Going Postal Records". Meanwhile, all the local death metal/metal fans here in the locality can check out the latest release of Severe Metastasis under "Anura Records", one of the Philippines' extreme underground labels, entitled "Anino sa Karimlan" EP, containing 10 brutality-injected songs. Currently, Severe Metastasis is writing new material for the upcoming full-length. Also, you may check out Jose's other works with the band Haemangioma and Soulcrusher.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
I had plans to play before as a one-man band, but because of being a sloppy musician, I gave up those dreams! I have played in some full bands, but at this time, I am very busy with my life and job, so I quit those dreams. If I had enough time to practice, I might consider myself playing life in those mosh pits!
Your musical influences
death metal, heavy metal, brutal death metal, black metal, thrash, goregrind and money other extreme genres of music...besides this I also listened to a lot of classical and instrumental music!
What equipment do you use?
left-handed SAKURA guitar, zoom G2 guitar effects, Ibanez amp, different software drum machines, assorted microphones, IBM Pentium 1 pro-computer. Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 computers-damn those are old crappy machines but still functional for the kind of Job.
Anything else?
