This band showcases some incredibly talented Denver singers on two CD's, Mommy sings God's Love Vol 1 and Old School Church Vol 1. Instrumental music is mostly by keyboardist Chuck Abernethy, who produced the CD's. MSGLV1 was released in Dec., 2008. OSCV1 was released in Sept., 2004.
These recording go back to 2004, when the Old School Church Vol. 1 CD was released as a tribute to the late Shorter A.M.E. Community church Pastor Jesse Langston Boyd, prior to his "passing from labor to reward," as he would say. Most of the singers have known Chuck Abernethy and each other for years before the recordings, however. Bio info. on Rev. Yes and no. Although we don't perform together as a group, occasionally, we will be in worship together or individually at various churches in the Denver area.
