I am a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a degree in music composition. This goes without saying but I love music (listening, composing, studying, performing).
I was born in 1987 in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. I spent my early years in Kailua where I developed an appreciation for classical and new age music. In seventh grade I moved to Mililani, where I began playing horn. Composition started a year later, when I experimented with composing for computer games. In high school I decided to try my hand at writing for larger ensembles. Recently, I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, with a degree in music composition. Musically, I think I've matured a great deal since I started; I've even included my earliest significant piece here for comparison.
I draw from all sorts of sources, from traditional classical to pop to world to film scores. I especially enjoy film scores and video/computer game music, such as that by John Williams, Jeremy Soule, James Horner, Koji Kondo, and Nobuo Uematsu. I also enjoy Javanese and Balinese gamelan, jazz, trance/progressive house, and so much more.
