Posh Meinke

Posh Meinke

Our music is a free spirited eclectic mix of modern and retro styles. Not your average Christian rock band. This music is a good thing.

Little Ones Of Faith

A very textured, lush Christian Rock Ballad. I worked on this song for 5 years. Re-wrote and recorded it several times before this band finally got it right.

Bless My Soul

This song is a retro rock praise song. It sounds a bit like Kansas with a Posh Meinke twist. Crunchy guitars and sailing vocals take this spirited music out of the church into your loud super charged car stereo.
Although we are a Christian Rock band, we cover a wide veriety of styles and will experiment with any musical mode. We haven't done any polka yet, but it's not because of any band policey. The band bizz is ran by two seasoned proffessionals, but features several of the best of our teenage students. Expect to hear in your face rock as well as some pretty mellow experimental electronic music and even a little ragae.
Band/artist history
I, Meinkray, developed the basic concept for the band, bought a recording studio and started looking for members in mid 1998. Jerry Drumdude came along some time around the end of 98. We decided to split up the band business into two areas. Production would be my area, Jerry would handle the bizz and booking department. We auditioned players for so long, several students from my church learned our stuff well enough to not only play it. But, play it better than most of the pro players we had experimented with. Our basic plan is to spread the word of God with music. If we are allowed to make a living at it. That would be a good thing.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play locally to the Dayton, Ohio area mostly for youth, community and arranged concerts. But, we are expecting to branch out in all directions from the Dayton scene.
Your musical influences
We are into crashing guitars as well as pulsing rhythms and exotic electronic images. Our music can be alittle retro and extremely modern.
What equipment do you use?
We use guitar synths, effects to numerous to mention, record on Ensoniq's Paris 24 bit system. We use acoustic drums of all sorts as well as electronic. Very fond of Roland guitar effects. Use tube amps.
