Brian became part of the Vancouver Island music scene soon after moving to Nanaimo in 1991. He spent a few years doing pub & party cover gigs until he discovered the Nanaimo Songwriters Circle in 1998. From that point on he has been pursuing the craft of songwriting and collaboration. Brian has produced two studio albums of his original songs, 2004‘s “One In A Million” with Jerry Paquette at Raincoast Studio and in 2012 “Back to the muse” with award winning producer Andrew Oye which brought a nomination for Male Vocal of the year at the Vancouver Island Music Awards. His original songs have been included in independent films, an international CD compilation and have won internet song contests.
The first album "One In A Million" was written and recorded during a time when "The Workin' Stiffs" band was together and performing around the island, they had a significant contribution to the sound of that album. The second album "Back to the muse..." is more of a studio album. A collection of favorite tunes from my songbook. The songs on this album were produced more in a top 40 country style with the help of award winning producer Andrew Oye.
