KingBathmat (aka John Bassett) was born in Walthamstow, London. He was raised by an ex convent nun and a meter reader, who fed him and looked after him until the age of 16, where he left school with very little else except a degree in truancy.
At the age of 18, kingbathmats heart was broken and crushed by a german girl which led him to embark on a mission to throw himself into music.
Now 6 years on......over 100 songs written......many broken up rock bands and relationships left in his wake......he has decided to become a solo artist and has finally written and produced the cd "Son of a Nun" which has been given rave reviews from all over the world for its song writing and production and its own unique style.
I've been in bands in the past, i do the odd acoustic session locally, at the momment i'm mostly concentrating on making the greatest CD/Album i can, and its taking up all my time, so at the momment no, but it can be remedied
