LOOKING TO PUT TOGETHER A BLUES - BLUES/ROCK BAND
What you are listening to are MP3's of me playing against "jam tracks." This is so that anyone who is interested in joining a band or forming a band with me , can get an idea of how I play.
I have been trying for quite awhile to get something together, but I'm just not having luck or meeting the right people. I'm a middle-aged, stable guy who wants to get out and play again. Please, no drugsters or alcoholic types, ok? I mean, what you do in your own home is one thing, but please leave it at home and be able to function when the time comes.
I'm looking for:
A singer (man or woman...doesn't matter)
or
A singer/guitarist (rhythm or lead) (man or woman)
and
A bass player (man or woman)
A drummer (man or woman)
A keyboard player (man or woman)
OR....
A band that needs a guitar player or 2nd guitarist (I work and play well with others)!
IF INTERESTED: Please click on "Contact This Artist" (to your left), and either leave me your phone # or email address (or both), and I'll contact you ASAP.
Is this where I lie and make it sound like bands I was in back in high school sound like big, important bands? It is? Well, in that case I was in the Beetles, Led Zeppolyn, and was once...along with every other guitar player on the planet Earth...in line to fill the guitar slot left vacant by Mick Taylor when he left the Stones.
In short, I've been in dozens of bands neither you or anyone else has ever heard of, so why list their names?
I don't play live but that is my goal. I always loved playing in front of people and need to do that again. I'm located in the Monmouth County area of New Jersey. Will happily travel and chip in for rehearsal/studio space.
Blues, blues rock, and classic rock guitarists. Motown and R&B, also. Mainly guys like Leslie West, Paul Kossoff, Roy Buchanan, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, B.B. King, Albert & Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Randy California, Rory Gallagher, Eddie Hazel, Mick Taylor, and the always awesome link Wray.
Gibson Les Paul Jr. PRS Johnny Hiland Signature guitar. Mesa Boogie Express 5:25 Amp. 70's Ventura guitar (aka Japanese Lawsuit guitar) for backup. Epiphone LP Jr. for slide.
Again, I play guitar and want to play out. I am an older guy (but you don't have to be - older or a guy), and looking for mature (not necessarily in years) and sober (definitely) people to start a band or for me to join their band.
