Playing gigs in and around the Coventry, Birmingham and Leicester areas, the band have started to collect a following of fans. Headlining at Coventry's premier live music venue The Jailhouse on numerous occasions, as well as other venues such as The Spencer Club , The Colosseum, The Earlsdon Festival and Leicester's renowned Victoria Biker Pub , they have developed a vast range of styles in their music.
Working their way through the genres of alternative to grunge, they have now found a place where musically, they feel comfortable. Many have tried to pigeonhole this as an Indie/Punk hybrid, but the band prefer to think of it as simply the sound of ‘ Tawn ‘. Although not bending to a specific style, the band have create a whole range of new tracks and while keeping a handful of their original tunes, they‘ve developed them into their own unique sound.
Starting out as a four piece band and the vast majority of their songs being slow and depression-based, they have now moved on With new inspiration and a whole lot of partying, Tawn have made a collection of joyful jump-about songs for your fast feet and childish delight. Taking four months out from gigging to work on the new album “ Smile! If You Know What's Good For You! ”, Tawn are now ready to show off their new tunes and their new upbeat look upon life.
Now, well into their second year of making music, the band are taking their own individual ideas, and contributing everything they have to each song. With a new sound, a new style and a new image, the band have set their sights on conquering the music industry and new fans alike!
Tawn is made up of Tomasz (Guitar, Vocals) James (Bass, Vocals) Jakey (Drums, Vocals) and B-EZ LP (Vocals).
