Native Utah songstress, Gina French, combines acoustic music with blues, folk, rock, pop, and world elements.
She recently was awarded a Golden Kayak for best song in the World genre from the Independent music website - Independent Artists Company, for her song, "Of Rapture", which is the title track from her most recent album, and she was also nominated for Best Female Artist on that site.
Over the years she has played the greater Salt lake area in various coffehouses and clubs. Her proudest performance moment came when she appeared as the local Utah opening act for "The Girls Room Tour", a Capitol Records tour featuring label artists Tara MacLean, Shannon McNally, Kendall Payne and Amy Correia in 2000 at the Zephyr club in downtown Salt Lake City.
