The Oddfellows in Plainville

A jig in G. The name comes from the building I see out my living room window which says in huge letters 'Oddfellows Block 1887'. And this happens to be in the town of Plainville, CT

Waiting for Tracy

A reel in G. I wrote this in more of a New England style. I happend to write it while the woman who would soon become my girlfriend was on her way to my place before we headed out to a contra dance.

Edna's Vase

A waltz in D. Named for my grandmother's first prothstetic leg, which always sat in the corner of her dining room with flowers in it. That was the kind of sense of humor that she had, which I will always remember.

A Day Before the Pyper

A reel in Gmin. I wrote this one morning before getting together with my friends, Kate and Case. Later that day Kate went into labor, The following day thier son was born. They named him Pyper.
Well, this is just me doing some multi track recording with my computer. I'd just like to use this as a way of sharing some of the things I've written, and like to play with the rest of the world. What I have on here is in the style of traditional Irish, and New England contra dance music, mostly jigs, reels, hornpipes and waltzes and such.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Only for fun so far. Occasionally I'll sit with other friends at their gigs, or play for small dances with friends.
Your musical influences
David Kaynor, Gina LeFaux, Peter Seigel, The Greenfield Dance Band, The Moving Violations, The Fiddleheads, Great Bear Trio, Richie Stafford, P.V. O'Donnell
What equipment do you use?
a cheap mandolin, a barely playable tenor banjo, an old guitar my cousin gave me when I was 12, and relatively decent Englehart upright bass.
