Welcome to Wim.
An imaginary land in an ancient world.
I was born in 1972 in Trondheim, Norway. An ancient city dating over 1000 years back, and it was in fact one of the greatest viking seats in Norway.
All I know about music I tought myself. In the 80s I started listening more and more to electronic artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream, and they became my biggest influences as I eventually started to produce myself. I also had a great liking towards new age musicians such as Kitaro, Vangelis and Mike Oldfield so I guess you could also sense some of their feel in my music.
I like to look upon my music as a painting where my instruments are substitutes for various colours. I try to "paint" a romantic and wonderful soundscape that captures the listener, using dreamy sounds and tunes. Each song describing a different "landscape" of sound.
I do all composing, producing and mixing myself and I am a studio performer. However like every artist the dream is to play in front of a live crowd of dedicated fans.

I started recording with MIDI early in the 90s when the computers had 16mb of ram and harddrives that were half the size of a cd. I mainly worked with general midi and my first hardware purchase was the Kawai K11 digital synthesizer. To get a good sound back then you had to go for hardware, but it was expensive for a young student like me. So I focused mostly on learning the skills to compose in the manner I wanted, which was melodic and instrumental electronic music. Things were about to change when we entered the new millenium.
Thanx to tecnology progress and more powerful computers i was able to find and utilize that sound I was looking for. A sound I only had heard from my favourite artists. Today most of my sounds comes from virtual instruments.
