Hi...
I like to write and make music. What kind of music? Well, I don't really know how to tell you what kind. I write it and it comes out sounding like what it sounds like. Sometimes it's kinda jazzy, sometimes it's country-sounding, but not really. About the only way it doesn't come out is like rap or hip-hop. But that may change someday. Mostly it's artsy-fartsy, rocky, airy, relatively simple sounding stuff.
I don't know what else to say, except that most of the time, I like to listen to my music.
I have, although it's been a long time since I've done a solo gig.
I've been influenced by: Sting, The Police, Peter Gabriel, Phil Keaggy, Yes, Bela Fleck, Barbershop Quartet music, I sang in the Metropolitan Boys Choir and my favorite pieces to sing were in Latin; currently, I'm listening to Thousand Foot Krutch, Chris Tomlin, a variety of bluegrass artists, Atomic Opera, Jars of Clay, Denver & The Mile High Orchestra (big band jazz) and just about anything I can get my hands on.
I've done all my recording on my Apple PowerBook G4. I used GarageBand for all these songs and I'm quite surprised at how well it worked.
