Red Light

A guitar rock song with hints of 'Bombtrack' and some punk thrown in for good measure. Look out for the cracking guitar solo!

Days In December

A chunky, grungey rock song.

Phoenix Ashes In Autumn

The slow phaser filled bass intro leading too distorted tremolo picked guitars, then some gargantuan crashing drums into the huge monumental chorus. With piano interludes and huge endings this is a mini epic from Redfall.
Redfall are an upcoming quartet from Bristol, with a wide mxture of sounds, rock, indie, grunge, prog, funk and just playing what sounds good. The line up is Jonno Harper on vocals, Josh Robson-Hemmings on guitar, Pete Jewkes on bass, piano and synth and Rob Channon on drums and percussion.
Band/artist history
All the members of Redfall live in the town of Bristol and all at some point attended Colstons Collegiate school were they all met. The idea to start a band was a mutual agreement, all though it took a long time for the band to get up and running. The first time the band members worked together was in a project in our Music class. Josh was in a different set to us so it was only Jon, Matt, Pete and Rob. Our song was called 'My Love Tragedy' and it was terrible. Later, Rob decided to organise a band practice yet there were a few problems, such as: Pete couldn't play bass and hadn't even learnt so he just played the piano, Matt couldn't play well, Jon couldn't sing that good, and it was a complete mess. Yet, we did come out of that with our first song, 'Goodbye' which was well...crap. After a while the band took a dip and we didn't play for a while. In that time Pete started learn the bass We then came back and produced some comparatively good songs. Next we would have to look for a gig. It came in the way of Rob's Dad as he coached the youth cricket team in Coalpit Heath. It was a presentation evening for the youth cricket team and Rob's Dad thought they would enjoy some live rock. We played our set with 60% our own material which we thought was quite good. We don't know weather the youth team liked us but we know some of the other locals who didn't even know we were playing liked us. Well, they did ask for an encore. Since this first gig we have been roamin the lands, trying to find places to play gigs, and occiasionly playing them with alot of enthusiasm no matter how big the crowd.. And that's round about what has happened. Redfall are continuing to write better songs for your listening pleasure and we'll tell if any gigs are planned.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We love to play live adn our regular gigs include the Harry Crook Theatre, The Railway Inn, The Croft, Coal Pit Heath Cricket Club and a few more. Great moements include Josh dramatically jumping from teh drum kit into the crowd and into a solo at the same time. Also Hilariously, Pete managing to hit Jonno square in the face with his headstock due to rather insane jumping.
Your musical influences
Muse, Nirvana, Pixies, System Of A down, Marrilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine and much more.
What equipment do you use?
We use Stratocasters for guitars, Yamaha basses Ludvig drum kits. We use Marshall guitar amps, Ashdown bass amps, and Peavy amps for practices. We use Roland Digital Pianos, Casio Synths and no1derland Theremin.
