John Garrett and Jeff Brown have been composing music together since they attended high school. They have a huge backlog of material and have written songs in many different styles.
We have been playing for over half of our lives together.
Yes we play live, at local coffe houses and bars from time to time. Yes we enjoy to play live, special moments always happen. Thats the fun part of playing live, looking at each other and thinking "Did that just happen, and how did we do it?"
While we each have some individual tastes some common influences are Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, John Hiatt, Robert Cray, Nick Lowe, The Beatles.
John And Jeff both prefer Fender Strats and Telecasters for their electric guitars, and Ovation acoustics. As for amps Jeff Uses a Line 6 AX2-212 And John Uses a Fender 212 Chourus. On the effects side Jeff uses a Line six M-13 Stompbox modeler and a Roland GR-1 guitar synth and John a Digitech Rp-300.
Jeff is currently busy restoring old Brown & Garrett cassette recordings to digital before they decay to nothing and will post some of the old stuff along with some current tunes soon.
