Contemporary Film and Concert Music
Gerardo received a BA in Film Scoring and Music Composition at the Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music in Composition from Yale. At Yale, Gerardo was a student of Ezra Laderman and Joseph Schwantner. Currently, Gerardo lives in Los Angeles, where he is an active film composer; orchestrator and music producer, his works for Orchestra, Chamber Ensemble and Electronics have been performed in music halls across the United States, as well as in Venezuela, Taiwan and Italy. Recent Credits include La Sombrilla, Losing Sam, Encuere, Notes From the New World, Thoughts, Mind the Gap, Red Monday, La Vida No Es Igual, Mourning Song and Monica, (Composer), Chamaco (Additional Music), as well as Satanas, The Duel and Seven Pounds (Orchestrator).
