You are the star that descended to earth
Into my palms to behold
I was so blessed to witness your birth
Inside my heart grown so cold

When I am with you the sun is eclipsed
Just by a brush from your radiant lips
You are the diamond that shone in the dark
You are my hearth and my home.

I give you this ring to acknowledge my debt
A debt I could never repay
All of my life seemed like toil and sweat
Until our sweet wedding day

I’d no idea what love could entail
Until you descended and parted the veil
You are red rose that bloomed in the snow
You are my hope and my stay
