Unpainting Portraits

Bright sunshine
Nor turpentine
Can burn the image away
Theres still black
And theres still blue
The picture is faded
But I can still see me and you

And I cant go back
Those memries are torture
It felt so bad
Lets keep moving forward
Im not mad, just
No time to look back
Im busy unpainting portraits like that

Hopeful smiles
hung on the wall
I always wanted something real
Close the can
Rinse the brush
We dont have to keep telling
That old story bout the two of us

I cant go back
Those memries are torture
We were sad
Lets keep moving forward
Im not mad, just
No time to look back
Im busy unpainting portraits like that

Lets unpaint the portrait we had
No more family portraits like that

We cant go back
Why relive the torture
Im so glad
That we keep moving forward
All we have
Is right here before us
Lets keep upainting the portraits like that
