Don't You Laugh (When the Hearse Goes By)

Don't you laugh as the hearse goes by
Or you could be the next to die.

They'll wrap you in a great white sheet
from your head down to your feet.

And put you in a big black box
Underneath the dirt and rocks.

And all goes well for about two weeks
Then your coffin begins to leak.

The worms creep in, the worms creep out
the worms play pinochle on your snout.

A purple worm of frightening size
crawls in you ears and out your eyes

Then your stomach turns a slimish green
and pus shoots out like whipping cream

You serve it on a slice of bread
and that's what you have to eat when your dead.
