Footsteps In The Hall

Something in your smile, made me feel alright
When you held me close, you lit up my night.
Memories are like watercolors left out in the rain,
A fading glimpse of scenes from yesterday

I've got you right here in my memories
Held inside these four paper covered walls
I've got you right here in my memories
Listening for your footsteps in the hall

Your pictures on the wall, They just smile out at me.
I remember the day, we hung them there.
The scarf you really loved, and used to wear
Lies folded and forgotten on the chair

I've got you right here in my memories
Held inside these four paper covered walls
I've got you right here in my memories
Listening for your footsteps in the hall

I'm still listening for your footsteps in the hall
