Should You See James

Should you see James
And he happens to ask for Jane
Please tell him that I feel the same
I think he always knew
That it's not a game
It's an infinite eternal flame
Even if you stay away
Can't forget about you
'Cause it's changed my brain
In a way that I still can't explain
That's the message then anyway
Should you see James

Should he see me
Somewhere along Piccadilly
I travel there quite frequently
And they seem to know me too
Not so far away, it's a skip and jump anyway
So head over the water one day
If it be true

Should you see me there
Nothing's changed, I miss you every, every, everywhere
So take this (hastily) scribbled note (hastily) in case, in case
In case you do
You do see James

Aimlessly wandering 'round looking for me
Yeah that's right it's just the same for me
You tell him I'm still waiting now
Oh what a lovely time to come around

If you see James, out wandering about the Thames
Tell him that I'm still in the rain
Ain't got the sense to turn from you
With a heart in pain
Seems impossible for me to explain
I'm alive, guess I can't complain
Although I do

But just tell him that I'll always be there

Should you see James
Out looking for Jane

Should you see James
Catching cold in the rain

Try to explain
Should you see James

Oh

Should you see James...
Looking for Jane
