SASKATCHEWAN’S ALIVE (2005)

1905, 1905,1905

One Hundred years ago, a brand new sky was born
Brothers and sisters came, to make this place their own
They called it Saskatchewan, came down where the rivers cross
Said I’m going to make my name, here with these seeds I’ve got

This is my home my life my land
My city my street my friends I have
Wheat fields, oil wells, potash mines
Highways, grid roads the ties that bind
Come gather around, 2005, Saskatchewan’s alive.

We’ve never been afraid, no to work hard and be true
You can count on me, and I have faith in you
And now we’ve come a long way, from that one horse and plow
Oh but the future is ours, and it’s just starting now

This is my home my life my land
My city my street my friends I have
Cattle ranches, lakes and trees
Sunrise, sunset the turning leaves
Come gather around, 2005, Saskatchewan’s alive.

100 years and no turning back, Saskatchewan’s alive
A million strong and we’re coming on, Saskatchewan’s alive

This is my home my life my land
My city my street my friends I have
Wheat fields, oil wells, potash mines
Highways, grid roads the ties that bind
Cattle ranches lakes and trees
Sunrise, sunset the turning leave
Come gather around, 2005, Saskatchewan’s alive
Come gather around, 2005, Saskatchewan’s alive
