All In Stride

Some times we wonder just why we are here.
We carry some guilt that we may not own.
We see our lives pass in so many years,
Not seeing how we reap what we've sown.

At times we think it's too late and love is lost.
We all wind up paying our dues.
All of our pleasures each have their own cost.
But if we listen, we can hear some good news.

There’s a higher self, within us all.
By a greater good we can all abide.
But to err is only human, and sometimes we fall,
And we can take the growing pains all in stride.

We must face up to all that we've done.
We must see the errors of the past.
But always remember, you’re not the only one,
And the first is as one with the last.

Whatever we do could be for one cause,
But by trial and error we are led.
So lighten your burden, and take time and pause.
Release all that nonsense in your head.

There’s a higher self, within us all.
By a greater good we can all abide.
But to err is only human, and sometimes we fall,
And we can take the growing pains all in stride.
