I was going to write something here but I'm late and I'd better get in the bath.
Basically, there is the older stuff, all of it done down the wrong end of a bottle, but I wiped the hard drives and called an end to that period. It only lives on a page called "The Rat Pit" here on soundclick and when it's gone, it's gone. But for all that I kind of like it and it lives here:
As it happens I added "Years and Years" to that page recently, 2012, not cos of a slip but because it just seemed to fit musically with the older stuff despite being upbeat and summery rather than dark. ("Baby Shoes (never used)" is not exactly a bundle of laughs). I'd quite like a return to song writing to be honest. As for this stuff here I'm not that fussed with it but it was recorded in the aftermath of the older period so I'm not sure what value it has. I like "Losing You" a lot, probably because I didn't write it, but I'm happy with the contributions I made to it and the way I recorded it. I will try and find a tune that I did something similar with, "Falling Down" by my friend Debs, it's her song but I like my work on it even though it's just a sketch. I also want to finish a song that Jason Morris helped me with before he so unexpectedly died. It's not right that I've got his work still sitting there and didn't finish it.
