I am a one man band using a combination of real and synth instruments to play the songs. I started out playing bass about 5 years ago and then quickly got into music production. After failed attempts at creating a traditional band (I'm to hard headed) I decided to give the solo thing a shot. Hell, it has woorked for bassists like Victor Wooten, John Paul Jones, Bootsy Collins and other, so here I go.
I also do session and sit in work for bass.
I do play live bass as a session a sit in player for bands around town. I love playing live, but I can't seem to keep a band relationship.
The most special moment playing live was impromptu. I was sitting in the crowd listening to my favorite local blues band when Bobby there bassist looked over and said "Man, grab this thing. I've got to take a leak." I did and ended up finishing the set with them that night. That is also how I became a session player.
Influences for me are like skittles. There is a variety of color and flavors, and if you mix them, you get something new and wonderful. My main influences for bass are James Jamerson of the Funk Brothers, John Paul Jones of Zepplin, Jack Bruce of Cream, Bootsy Collins, Victor Wooten, Sir Paul McCartney, Flea, .........
I use Acid and Cmuzys along with Live Fender Basses
Keep it Pure.
