Singer/Songwriter Robert Schilling began his music career in South Brunswick, NJ as a keyboardist for Colors Of A New Flag (1986-1988) while still in high school. He later switched over to bass guitar, as the band became Four Calling Birds (1989), and lastly, Infinite Touch (1990-1998). His years with Infinite Touch produced several memorable moments including performances at The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), Club Bene (South Amboy, NJ), The Bitter End and Catch A Rising Star (New York City). The band also recorded four independently released CDs and produced a music video. In 1996, Infinite Touch won the Gold Summit Creative Award for their multimedia CD “The Other Side Of The Window” (1995).

In August 2000, Robert released his first solo, self-titled CD. Produced by Jon Gorr Custom Music, this project featured some of Pittsburgh’s finest musicians. In July 2001, however, Robert signed a long-term music publishing deal with ATTACKIN' TUNES, a partner of Cherry Lane Music Publishing, Inc.

Robert Schilling is a full voting member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and the Songwriter's Guild of America (SGA). He has three degrees from Univ. of Pittsburgh (MBA, MS, BA) and a Bachelor of Music (BM) from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

Probably. But the terms would have to include major marketing incentives and creative control.
Band History:
Before Robert Schilling became a solo artist, he was the co-founder of a group that was together for twelve years and had three different names. The first version of the group was called Colors Of A New Flag (1986-1988), which was an all synthesizer band styled after Depeche Mode and unofficially formed in September of 1985. Although Robert did not join until August 1986 (as a keyboardist), he had been writing songs since the age of nine.

By the fall of 1988, Robert began to study bass guitar while attending the University of Pittsburgh (Greensburg Campus) as the group had briefly disbanded. In April 1989, he decided to reform the group under the name Four Calling Birds (1989), which blended the synth sounds of Colors with a newly developed guitar sound. Subsequently, Robert became group's bassist during this period.

By January 1990, Robert transferred to Pitt's Main Campus and the group became Infinite Touch (1990-1998).

Shortly thereafter, Robert signed with his first management company and graduated from Pitt with a Bachelor's degree in History (December 1991). The group went on to release a few albums as Infinite Touch on their own independent label, MRK Records: In the Beginning (1990-1994), The Other Side of The Window (1995), and Finnegans Lane (1997).

The Other Side Of The Window was the first hybrid (Mac & PC) multi-media CD ever released by an independent label (1995). It is currently vaulted in Apple Computer's technology library in Cupertino, CA. The CD received a strong review from Billboard and won the 1996 Gold Summit Creative Award for the category of Digital: CD-ROM (out of 856 entries).

Throughout it's eight year existence, Infinite Touch performed at venues such as The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), The Bitter End (NYC), Club Bene (South Amboy, NJ) and Catch A Rising Star (NYC). In April 1998, however, they decided to split up over directional differences. A year later, Robert was accepted to the graduate program at Pitt and eventually completed his MBA in April 2001.

Later, Robert completed his studies at the Berklee College of Music (2002) and moved to New York City where he is currently residing.
