Making an attempt to help change the sound of hip-hop
Why this name?
The name reflects both the music, which is virtually sample-free, and the words in the lyrics, which come from real life situations.
Do you play live?
I have done shows in various spots all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A couple of the most notable include a September 11th benefit concert, which was held 2 weeks after the Sept.11 terrorist attacks, and the Dallas Music Festival.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has created a huge outlet for indie artists. I am starting to become more involved with the trend, and making my music available online has increased my fanbase. It's a worthwile medium to use.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My main goal is to create more of a buzz with what I have now. Still trying to get the business aspects straightened out first. After that...

Favorite spot?
Dallas is forever home, but I would like to revisit the Twin Cities area in Minnesota.
Equipment used:
Ensoniq EPS Performance Sampler; Mackie VLZ1202 Mixer; Boss BR-8 Digital Recording Studio; Oktava MK-219 Condenser Mic; Shure AXS1 Mic; Data Becker Sound Clips 10,000; Akai MPC drum package, ACID 6.0
Anything else...?
If you are not serious about this business, STAY OUT OF THE STUDIOS AND QUIT WASTING THE TIME OF OTHERS! It does not make sense to use up tracks and studio time, and then you take the track home and sit on it forever. Make people listen. Make people know who you are. GROW THE HELL UP! You wanna be an entertainer? Learn how to conduct yourself in a businesslike manner...cause the music industry is a JOB...NOT A HOBBY! And with all businesses, make it the most fun job you can ever imagine, and don't let stress, fortune, and all the intangibles get to your head. Know the people you work with. Do soundchecks. Look professional. Give credit where credit is due.
