Why this name?
Jon Zero? Why not.
Do you play live?
Flesh Eating Foundation kick it live frequently. A Jon Zero solo live show appears unlikely at this stage, though appearances with other artists is not out of the question.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hopefuuly the internet has begun a revolution that will see an attitude adjustment for the major labels. The internet = freedom. On the down side, i think the 'record deal' is now pretty much a fable in this DIY age.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
On my terms? Sure. Likelihood? Not so sure.
Band History:
Jon Zero has played music for well over a decade. His weapon of choice always used to be his trusty guitar. These days it is more likely to be his fully loaded PC and various other hardware lurking in the studio. Jon likes to think that he can get some sort of agreeable noise out of most musical items and quite a few non musical ones too.
Your influences?
I have a great love of industrial, goth, electronica, metal, punk, alternative, experimental and new romantic (!!) music.
Favorite spot?
I could quite happily reside in Amsterdam for some time, I am also fond of London, New York, Chicago and Seattle.
Equipment used:
I use Orion Platinum from Synapse Audio with a range of free and purchased plug ins. Piracy is not a good thing. I prefer guilt free composition.
Anything else...?
Sometimes I remix for free, sometimes if you have a deadline or specific requirement I charge a small fee. I am always interested in new work from anywhere on the musical spectrum.
