Gloria Jane comes from a family of musicians. Her Grandfather played the banjo and also played the piano in theaters for silent films when as a young man. His cousins, Estel and Ann Thompson played and sang Gospel music in many of the churches around the area. Estels sisters boy grew up to be none other then Country Music's Bluegrass Star And Grammy Winner Ricky Skaggs!! Gloria Jane's brother in law and her nephews make up their family Christian Rock Band known as JCD. John "Yanko Toney" Megahey, the leader of JCD is both vocalist and bass player. His first instrument of choice is the drums. He has preformed in both Country and Rock bands. Among his list of credits are "XL" a well known to the area 80's rock group.

Gary Cordle, Drummer for JCD, grew up playing the drums in his Grandmothers church along with several other church's in the area. He preformed in both country and rock bands before joining his step father in JCD.

Toney Megahey, Keyboard player, is the newest member of the family to join JCD. Tony played in two other country rock bands prior to joining his father and brother in JCD. You can download their music at: www.download.com/jcd

Gloria Jane began singing when she was just three years old. First in church and then later on stage. She wrote her first song, a country gospel tune, "Praise The Lord" when she was just 16 and is a published writer.

Gloria Jane's talent, both for singing and writing, took her further as she won the 1983 Plain City Corn Festival Talent Contest singing another one of her songs, "Madison County"

In 1984 Gloria Jane went into the studio and recorded, "You're My Shining Star" another one of her songs. And that song took Gloria Jane all the way to the semifinals in The Marlboro Country Music Contest.
