Why this name?
Were sat in a room thinking of names cos we needed one before we played our 1st gig. It was the best of a bad selection I guess...
Do you play live?
Yea play live, anything offered to us we will play. Trying to play in some new places to new faces at the moments.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Depends on the area of the industry you are looking at. For example small labels and unsigned bands can get there music heard and then people will go and buy their cds. Things like kazaa are kinda bad news for the major labels cos people can just download whole albums and not bother buying them- kinda not surprising since major labels charge more for cds that are cheaper for them to make cos they make more of them!

Conclusion....yes they do change the industry. For some sections of the industry in a bad way, for some sections in a good way.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would be happy on any label that let us make the music we wanted to and could make it available for whoever wanted it for as lower price as possible.
Band History:
The band formed in October 2001 as a result of Neil and Westy's old band splitting, and then recruiting Tom after his band also fell apart. At first it was just as a group of friends who wanted to have fun by playing music that we like. We began taking it more seriously as we began writing our own songs and decided finally decided to call the band 'Snatchback'. A debut EP was recorded in August 2002 at 2fly studios Sheffield and released Monday 2nd September at the Boardwalk. After gaining more experience through playing gigs around Sheffield another demo was recorded at Interstellar Sandwich studio in April 2003. Feedback from this Demo has been very encouraging including 'Every Duck' being played on a Monday Night lockup show on Radio 1.
Your influences?
Rise Against, Good Riddance, Pennywise, Descendants, Millencolin, Pulley, NOFX.
Tom- Eric Clapton

But all the bands we like deserve a mention... Capdown, antimaniax, five knuckle, sick of it all, the legacy, fig 4.0, spitfire down, leftover crack.
Favorite spot?
Neil- On top of a mountain in the snow
