NEWS
Hopefully in about 2 weeks we will have a 5 or 6 song EP finished in my basement. After that, I'll get songs posted on here, and I'll start mass-producing CDs. So far, we're finished with 2 songs, but next week we're gonna get a lot done and finish off the recording. You'll hear more then. Till then... check out our HXC website:

Why this name?
That's very top-secret. Sorry.
Do you play live?
Yes, when we can. We're looking to try and get any sort of shows in the Rochester metro area, and we would be willing to go as far as Buffalo for a gig.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's both positive and Negative.... but more towards the positive side. The internet is really a major expansion of the old "word-of-mouth" method of gaining musical popularity. Plus, uploading music can get you heard by more people. However... when you get to be a little more popular (About the size when you try to become a career musician) and mass amounts of people are pirating your album that costed you a ton of money to make... then itd probably get irritating. But if you get HUGE, then it doesnt matter... cuz your making $30,000 a night.
So... it depends on the situation. To us... its a big, big help.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
To get the chance to do what I love for a living without having to work at a pizza shop or something crappy like that.... yeah, I'd do it.
Band History:
Hi. My name is Evan. And let me f***ing tell you... It's hard to start a band in a small town. I learned this over the course of almost 3 years, because I tried pretty hard to start a modernized hardcore band with a political drive, with a musical sound along the lines of bands such as Norma Jean and Zao.
You see.... at age 15, I had cancer. Fortunately, after virtually losing a year of my life... I survived. However, along the road, I was given the chance to "Make-A-Wish". What did I get? Why... I got an assload of music equipment. More than any teenager should have. A bass rig worth about $2500 (being a bass player), a fairly equipped drumset, A half-decent guitar amp, some instruments, and most importantly: a powerful Mixer/PA system.
With this... the attempts to form a band begun. However... it just didnt work with the people I tried with.... and that wasnt too many people, since I live out in the middle of nowhere. FORTUNATELY.... I converted to a more in-demand instrument: Drums. It was easy to master rhythm for me, cuz I've been in music since I was a kid. Just looking at my drumset, you can tell who I take after when I play. Dave Grohl.
Well... my equipment also was helpful to my friend Ricky. Within a few months, he learned guitar, and naturally began to play and sing at the same time. Over the course of about a year, we covered almost every Nirvana song you can think of. But.... we needed someone else. So one day, Ricky was skating with his friend Dan, as usual... and he said "You should play bass for us". BAM! We added a bass player, and now the songs are popping up left and right.
If you add the fact that Ricky bought a really loud Marshall stack... then that's pretty much the basis of the story. I'm currently working on self-producing a little EP for us... so I hope to get this site fully set up with new music soon. Till then... enjoy the Nirvana covers from December.
