I am a computer musician. If you were expecting a world-class guitarist or concert pianst, you've come to the wrong place; in the world of instruments I'm about as untalented as they come.

I am, however, a true musician. I may not be able to pull off more than a power chord on my guitar or play more than the first few notes of "tubular bells", but I hate that loop-jockey, sample-based boredom that has regretably tainted the image of the computer musician as much as any of you, perhaps even more. So, if you are looking for new, original, and above all, interesting music, you have come to the right place.
Why this name?
DragonX was a nickname I used while playing "scorched tanks" at my friends house. It stuck, but "blue" was added when I tried to sign up for a certain other mp3 site (that still owes me pre-policy change money) and found it was such a cool name, about 30 others had already used it.

I might just switch totally to some other name. But that's cool. Bands do that all the time. Sure.
Do you play live?
Nope. Not yet, anyway.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it far more available, and, despite what the rich asshole record execs will tell you, doesn't cheat the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I used to think so, but y'know what? I'd never make enough money by doing that to justify it. Warp records, maybe...
Band History:
Let's just say I used to be a loop-jockey and now I'm a serious composer. In future, I hope to be a stellar guitarist as well...

*cough*
Your influences?
Everything under the sun. Whoever says they have no "influences" is lying; we're all emulating someone or something. The musicians who embrace this and move on to create something entirely their own are the most creative. So long as you don't change your own music to fit a "style", so long as you don't dampen your own musical voice to become something you aren't, the more influenced you are the more original the sound you create.
