D.I.D. is the second album by Jim Konen (guitars) and Dick Metcalf (aka Rotcod Zzaj, who played Kurzweill PC 88 on this CD).

Konen is famous in his local zone (Detroit/Motown) for some masterful techno guitar playing that he performs as "VisionEar".

Metcalf has been recording and performing around the country (& the world) since about 1975.

This CD was one of the most fun recording/playing experiences these 2 guys have ever been involved with!

Why this name?
We thought about th' name together, trying to come up with something that represented what we did, what the format was, & how it felt from an improvisational standpoint - &, yes, it DID feel a bit like sci-fi!
Do you play live?
We have only played live "in studio" to date; we may play (some) festivals in the coming year or two, 'specially if Jim can get out to Washington state as part of his new gig.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is the best way for listeners to "try before they buy", no doubt!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as the artists retained total control over the music, perhaps.
Band History:
This is the second album by D.I.D. Our other album was called "Sonic Nuggets", & is available at www.homemademusic.com/~zzaj

Your influences?
The immediate moment, though we've no doubt that Johnny Guitar Watson had as much to do with it as did Frank Zappa
Favorite spot?
Olympia (for Zzaj). Not sure where Jim digs on th' most
Equipment used:
