AzSongs provides our listeners a forum to download songs from the band Azimuth and additionally songwriter demos from Azimuth and their co-writers
Why this name?
AzSongs is simply an alternative identity so we can branch out into different genres.
Do you play live?
We are currently a cyber band, all our music is written while living in different states and countries, then we record the quality tracks.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gave independent bands an outlet to get their music out past local ministries. Production standards can match and outdo labels with strict attention to arrangements and instrumentation. Additionally digital recording makes it cheaper to record your music. MP3's are a wonderful way to get His music heard throughout the world and to strive for the excellence he expects us to strive for.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they let us have total control of content and didn't expect us to tour. Odds are poor that would happen :)
Band History:
Azimuth has been around since 1985 and are working on a new studio album (our 4th) which should be released in 2004. Paul Gentry, Dan Swan and LaVada Torzewski still write and record together. Additionally Paul and LaVada are active song writers and use this site for downloads of new music.
Your influences?
Bread, Supertramp, Beatles.
Favorite spot?
Monterey, California
Anything else...?
The main thrust of this site past Azimuth will be songs written together by Paul Gentry, Rhesa Siregar, Larry Holder, Chuck Brown and Elton Smith
