Mark 4:21, '...don't you put it on its stand?

Overtly Christian has disbanded, but our music is still shared here on SoundClick to lift up Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and to promote our songwriter James Moore's music. James blends relevant, thought-provoking verses with easily sung and memorable choruses that draw listeners into a spirit of worship. All James' completed songs are on his website at movingtowardchrist.com.

If you are a publisher/recording artist and interested in using any of James' songs, e-mail info@movingtowardchrist.com.

Do you play live?
We regularly played live for youth praise and worship services at First Assembly of God PCB from 2003-2006. Our most special moment happened when our pastor called on us to perform in church - without advance warning or practice...despite being caught off guard God anointed our performance of "Freed, Found, Forgiven" and young and old in the audience were touched!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet provides the opportunity for startup groups like ours to get our music 'out there', and that's a great thing!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nope...
Band History:
Overtly Christian was formed in 2003 from the First Assembly PCB Youth Praise Team, and is now disbanded. The youth at First Assembly PCB have formed a new band called "Second Chance."
Your influences?
OC was firmly rooted in praise and worship and this is evident in our music.
Anything else...?
One of Overtly Christian's recordings received airplay on six Christian radio stations across the US (Al Tyler, host of 'Gospel in Song and Word', played OC's "When The Dove Cries" on his show the weekend of August 30-31, 2003)!
