Alternative pop rock singer, songwriter, ~A.R.K~ (Amber-Rose Kelly), is a 21 year old who hails from The City of Angels in sunny California, USA. Her new EP, "Sweet Poison" is will be available for sale right here in her SoundClick Store as an EP for $5.00 and each track will also be sold as a single for $0.99!
Why this name?
It's my real name ... well, most of it. It's too long of a story to tell here.

Do you play live?
I love playing live. I've been playing out since I was 16, mostly around the Los Angeles area and love to play on the Sunset Strip! My parents met there at The Central (now The Viper Room) and the Strip kind of feels like home. I love to play The Cat Club, and my all time favorite venue I've played to date has to be The Key Club! They have a great sound system!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that it opens up a world of opportunity for a performer to get their music heard. And a chance to make some $ with your art, independent of a record label.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I am open to that ... but am just recording my own EP right now with producer Brain Irwin, and I will release it on my own on Fall 2008. I'll promote that and I will concentrate on making an LP. I am not in a hurry because the right situation must present itself.

Your influences?
My influences are Beth Hart, Alannis Morrisette, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, Melissa Etheridge, Anita Coats, Shirley Manson, Lisa Loeb, Jewel, Fiona Apple ... I also listen to a lot of Nirvana, Murmurs, The Fray, Radiohead, Sublime, A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots, Jefferson Airplane, The Used, Gin Blossoms, and 30 Seconds to Mars ... guilty pleasures! So my influences are pretty broad.
Favorite spot?
Sedona, Arizona and Washington State. But, I still love to eat sushi on Los Angeles! And when I make a bunch of $, I'm going to France to sip coffee in a street cafe! Then to Italy to eat pizza!
Equipment used:
My Daisy Rock Venus when I play electric and I still play my first guitar, a Harmony Acoustic that my Grandfather bought me for Christmas when I was 12 years old.
