Menelaous Georgiou chose the name Afflicted since all songs are based on personal experiences that have 'afflicted' him or changed his perception of life.

We HAVE played Live before, in a quite a few RANDOM venues, lol. but the band have no stable venue, as we choose to concentrate on the net. We love the music, it will always be the main reason why we play, a special moment was when we first played live.. We will never forget it..

MP3 has changed the music industry completely, mp3 is a great way for unsigned artists like ourselves to get recognised and to promote ourselves, but in the end, mp3 is mainly used to steal music, which i believe is wrong and dishonest. I think people should pay for music they like, otherwise the bands, (especially if they are as poor as us! LOL) will have no financial backing to continue to create quality music...

Yes, we want to reach every body, and with the internet we are limited in who, and how many people we reach, we try our best to assert ourselves and 'get out there' as it were, but yeh, we believe a label would help us to achieve that..

Afflicted is a London-based band who started off creating music exclusively for multimedia and other online digital media which required music, especially rock / orchestrial.

Afflicted's early works were on the most part used in conjunction with Afflicted-Design's (aka MutageniX Entertainment) early projects for video games and presentations.

Afflicted has now branched into the more COMMERCIAL rock sector, and is still looking for a major music label since it is still very much an underground band.

Splitting AFFLICTED into its 2 subheadings as AFFLICTED DIGITAL (its works for the online community and other multimedia), and AFFLICTED COMMERCIAL (its commercial tracks for the mainstream), Afflicted continues its old traditions while making way for its new found mainstream focus.

Afflicted will continue to create, with or without a major label, they are completely commited to what they do and love. The affliction is no where near from ending... It has only begun...
