This is my solo page. I am part of the group called Native Styles Check it out!
-Taken from our group profile-
We love HipHop! Meaning we like what we like and we don't like what we don't like. Boundries mean nothing; if it's good, we like it. Simple.
As a group we're here to try and cook up something different from the rest with hard-hitting bass kicks, laid back Jazz, soothing Soul melodies, Funky Riffs and of course; the essential boom-bap sound.
Full/re-recorded songs will be up shortly; we've only just started and still getting things 'sorted'; sending out samples because we're nice! So keep checking back.

Why this name?
I think of the Peripheral vision, the matter not usually seen in immediate sight, something in the wider horizon, a deeper perspective; and that's how I try to keep it with my music.
'Periphial' came because I think it sounds lighter and has a more HipHop feel to it spelt this way.

Do you play live?
We're getting close...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The obvious answer would be you're more recognised. But saying that, since the vast internet and the music industry within it has grown to such a large scale with everyone going their own way; it can be an even harder place to become discovered.
All I know is I have a couple of good friends in Kansas City who make up the group; 'Ball 'Til I Fall'; and they will be collaborating a lot with us.
I am also collaborating with a few other people who live and operate in places which would under normal circumstances not allow me to do so; the internet helps you branch out and make new associates and friends through music.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It all depends...
It would have to be the complete right offer. As I said I want to do this for the pure love of the music. Of course that's all just a heroes tale and not many are in this 'just for the music'. Of course I'd like to live comfortably and earn money but that's a natural given. I do this because I love it and no amount of cash would cause me to turn my back on the very reason I'm on the mic now. I mean, I could be making money elsewhere...

Your influences?
Music in general really, the HipHop where you only have to catch a glimpse and the feeling overwhelms you, that inner feeling that something amazing is about to make itself heard. If it comes down to people there'd be too many to name in the broader field. But mainly it would come down to; Mos Def, Talib Kweli and a brilliant artist in Philadelphia who goes by the name of 'Iamisee' check him out. Anyway they were the main reason I said to myself "let's try this" and why I picked up the pen. Secondary influences include Common, Lupe Fiasco and Nas who's I think talent is unmatched by many.
