NEWS   I'm pleased to have recently completed a collaboration with Israeli composer, Omri Lahav. It's a jazzy blues tune called, "After Midnight". Omri's sultry blues instrumentation inspired me like crazy, so writing the lyrics for this one was easy. Recording the vocals was so much fun that I couldn't stop singing!

Some great new songs are in the works and more to come! .."The future's so bright, i gotta wear shades!" wink ;)

Hello! My name is Jolynn. I am a singer with a background in classical studies and Vocal Performance. Besides being a Christian performance artist, I also work as a session musician, arranger and producer including jingles and v/o for TV and radio

Why this name?
Well, since I am "the band", you'd think this one would be an easy to answer... but no.
Do you play live?
My venues tend to be churches or classical concert halls.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Absolutely. This is a very exciting time to be an artist. Finally musicians have freedom and control over their own works, as they well deserve. Copyright law has been grossly misinterpreted. Practically speaking, music has become in effect, locked up. On the bright side, I'm very excited to see the Creative Commons (http://creativecommons.org/) licensing system stepping in to protect the original intent of the copyright law and aid creators in breaking out of the "gilded cage". Today, there are many possibilities and opportunities for anyone with talent and dedication -more so the latter ;)
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely not. I prefer more than a "one record" career span. ;)
Your influences?
There are artists who have inspired me at times, but as far as my musical "Influences"? That's always been a hard one to answer. I'd say that award goes to my parents. Surprisingly, I'm not a "recreational" listener. I'm extremely selective. I could probably count on one finger how many CD's I've purchased this year, haha.
Favorite spot?
In the middle of a field anywhere in North Dakota. You can see the ends of the earth from there. Beautiful!
Equipment used:
I'm a loyal customer of both Mac and Digidesign. My studio is a Mac G5 based Protools system. Among my gear list is a Shure KSM32, Audix C11, Roland A90EX, Yamaha s90, Roland JV 1080's, and Event & Mackie monotors, Sibelius & other software instruments & libraries, etc., blah, blah, blah..
Anything else...?
Stay tuned for uploads!!! :))
