Welcome to my world of Music. I have written many songs and have stepped in and out of Country here and there into Pop and World music for I love it all. There are so many genres that I call my music easy listening, though some of it is a bit toe tapping. Be it Classical or Bluegrass be it music. I am a solo act with friends joining me in the performances. I never know who will be singing or playing with me. Age or gender are not a factor with me and I am at home with anyone who enjoys music and it's creation as much as I do
Why this name?
Sometimes I am solo, but, most times I have Company, hence, Idamarie and Company
Do you play live?
I play at least 10 shows per month at clubs, fairs, festivals, parties and retirement centers, nursing homes, hospitals and prisons
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet provides a new and international showcase for entertainers and songwriters alike. It provides an incredible audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
With pleasure
Your influences?
I love Dolly Parton, and my favorite singer is Barbara Streisand. There is no one to compare with her talent.
Favorite spot?
I really like the hustle, bustle, and glitter and glamour of Las Vegas, but I love living where I live in Ohio, near Cleveland on Lake Erie
Equipment used:
I use Yamaha Keyboards and Fender guitars. I also use a Roland for some sounds and use a midi to hook together three different Yamaha boards at one time for special effects
Anything else...?
My music spans several genres, but, I let my grandson take care of the Heavy Metal. I have a brother that sings Gospel music and another brother who is also a Jack-of-all instruments and master of all. My whole family is involved in some way with music. We were professional performers on TV and Radio as children and loved every minute of it growing up. As the oldest, I was the leader of the band at age ten. We played Guitar, Steel guitar, bass and drums. Two boys and two girls and we all sang solo and together.
