Jonathan is a veteran of the Knoxville, TN., scene, playing with Defenders of the Faith and The Jordan Project. A native New Yorker, Blake, though he was harpslinger for Cincinnati's Mary Ann Kindel, found much of his previous success in northern England as frontman for Roots/Blues band Smokestack Lightning. 46 Long's origins trace to the Greater Cincinnati Blues Society's Blues in the Schools CD project to which both Blake and Jonathan contributed original music. 46 Long has been the top acoustic act in the Greater Cincinnati Blues Society's Blues challenge for two years running. . Savor Every Second, 46 Long's first full-length CD, was released January 2003. They've also just finished recording a number of instrumentals for the soundtrack of Helen Smith's upcoming documentary, Six-The Movie
