"It's like Sting, R.E.M. and the Dalai Lama meeting at a martini bar for an open mike night."

Why this name?
we've heard that the physical location of heaven is about "3 feet up". and since we're trying to put out positive music into the world, it just made sense to us.
Do you play live?
used to play all over Portland, Maine. Now we live near Greensboro, NC and we've got gigs at Borders bookstores and various other venues all over NC.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it gives us little guys a fighting chance to get somewhere!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
hard to say - it's really just a glorified loan, isn't it? and how to get them to promote you when guys like Springsteen are on the label. tough call. i'd only sign if i was making a ton of money on my own selling my music.
Band History:
Chris & Victoria Hardy are 3 feet up. They also happen to be husband and wife. They want to lift people’s spirits and send out positive messages with their music. They also don't want people to be confused by the word "positive" - it's not Christian rock. They live just outside of Greensboro, North Carolina and have played music together since June of 2004.

Chris writes the songs, plays the acoustic guitar and vocalizes, and Victoria beats the skins (while standing). She started learning drums in April of 2004!
Live, they seem to not lack anything (even though they have no
bass player) and are quite symmetrical onstage with Victoria’s drums
right up front next to Chris.

The two cite influences as diverse as Dave Brubeck, Dave Matthews, Robyn Hitchcock, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Sting, Steely Dan and way more.

Since the release of their self-produced debut CD “Tank Full Of Gas And An Empty Cup”, they have been featured on the CBS Early Show and with the release of their new CD "i will fear no evil", they have turned into gig machines, relentlessly playing all over North Carolina and wherever there is a demand.
Your influences?
sting, dave matthews, jack johnson, steely dan, del amitri, fastball, foo fighters, devo, adrian belew, david sylvian
Favorite spot?
Clark Hill Lake, SC.
Equipment used:
rainsong ws-1000 acoustic guitar, yamaha drumkit with rocket shells snare.
